Every post is about a game

Attach the screenshot, the clip or the story to the game you were playing. A game page then collects everything anybody said about it — so the match you are still annoyed about has somewhere to go.

Match with a buddy who plays like you

Say which games you play, on what, from where, how you like to play and when you are online. Gaming Buddy Match lists the people who fit — send a team up request, and when they accept the chat is already open.

A room for the people you play with

A Fragroom has its own feed, its own chat channels and its own rules. Public, or private with a join list you approve. It is the group chat that remembers what you played.

Buddies, and chats that keep up

Send a buddy request, then talk — text, pictures, GIFs, emoji, replies and reactions, delivered live. No feed algorithm decides whether your buddy sees it.

Know when somebody goes live

A buddy who starts streaming carries a LIVE mark on their posts and their profile, and the Live tab collects every one of them. Pin the streamers you follow on Twitch or YouTube and Fragroom rings your bell within minutes of them starting.

Questions

Is Fragroom free?
Yes. There is no advertising business here, so there is nobody to sell anything to, and nothing about you is sold or shared.
How old do you have to be?
16 and over. The date of birth is asked at sign-up and checked — not asserted with a tick box.
How do I sign in?
With an email address, or with Discord, Twitch, Steam, Epic Games or Google. Fragroom asks each service for the least that will do the job, and it never receives your password or the ability to post, message or act as you anywhere else.

Epic Games gives an account id and your Epic display name, through the basic_profile scope — no email address, because Epic offers no scope that returns one. Steam gives an account number, a display name and an avatar, and likewise no email. Both therefore stop and ask you for an email and a date of birth before an account can exist. Discord, Twitch and Google give an email address and a display name, and that is all Fragroom asks for and all it keeps.

A connected account is shown on your profile so other players can recognise you, and it can be removed from your settings at any time. What is stored and for how long is written out in the privacy policy.

Can I upload video clips?
Not yet. Posts take screenshots and text today, and a live stream can be linked from Twitch or YouTube. Uploaded clips and Reels are being built and are not part of Fragroom at the moment.
Who makes Fragroom?
Fragroom is built and operated by Sajal Jahan, an independent developer. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any game publisher or platform.

Can I delete my account?
Yes, from your settings, and it takes everything with it — your posts, your comments, your messages and any Fragroom you founded. There is no undo, and the screen says so before you press it.
